Rapid City New Horizons Band

Memorial Day 2026

This is a photo of the Black Hills War Monument located at Memorial Park in Rapid City, South Dakota. The Rapid City New Horizons Band will be providing music for a special Memorial Day event honoring the fallen heroes from the Black Hills who gave their lives during our nation’s wars over the past 100 years. The ceremony begins promptly at 9 am and ends promptly at 9:50 am. The Band will perform before the program starting at 8:40, play the Star-Spangled Banner with our vocalist, and play a few pieces after the program until approximately 10:15. Please join us!

    Wish I could play for this, but I just won’t quite be there in time. I will see you shortly, though.

    You have done a nice job getting the RC New Horizons Band website changed over. It looks better every time I look at it. WordPress is a pretty good platform to do websites, and there is a lot that happens almost automatically. I built one for the brass band here using WordPress, and I was amazed at how easy it was.
