I graduated from Viborg High School in 1964. The band director there was Art Niedan. At that time, I played trumpet for 2 years then switched to the sousaphone. Went to one year of collage at Freeman Junior. Moved to Rapid City in 1989 from Sioux Falls. Played in the drum and bugle corps for several years. Now I play in the New Horizons Band, the New Horizons Jazz Band, the Belle Fourche Cowboy Band, the Northern Hills Community Band, and the Legion Band. I am a member of Bugles Across America, which is a group that provides volunteers to play “Taps” for funerals and other events.

I have worked a variety of jobs. The last was at Rapid City Regional Senior Care Assisted Living. I have 2 daughters and 3 step-children. I volunteer at the Hospice House. I used to have a ceramic shop and also enjoy making things with wood. I am a member of the Bible Fellowship Church.
