A good friend introduced me to the New Horizons Band. I had taken piano lessons in elementary school and practiced only when my mother made me. I chose my daughter's saxophone to learn to play when I joined the New Horizons Band. Through the extreme patience of fellow members, I have sort of learned to play and really find it an enjoyable experience. In my pre-retirement years, I was a Registered Nurse in the hospital setting. I also enjoy walking in the Hills, learning to quilt, and reading.
