Lynn DesLauriers grew up in North Dakota where he played tenor saxophone in high school band. He was employed as a soil scientist with the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service in North Dakota and Minnesota for thirty-seven years before retiring in 2007. Lynn and his wife, Carol, moved to Rapid City from Lakeville, Minnesota in 2007. He joined the New Horizons band in 2008. Besides the saxophone, Lynn enjoys running, hiking, biking, camping, woodworking, and photography.
