Donna Fletcher started her musical career on trumpet in the 5th grade because she wanted to “sit with the boys.” By the time she was in high school, she was encouraged to switch to French horn, for which she is very thankful now. Her musical opportunities (besides the New Horizons Band) have included performing in symphony orchestras, marching bands, concert bands, wind ensembles, brass and woodwind quintets, and as a member of the 147th and 59th Army Bands for 10 years. In November 2010, she had the good fortune of performing with Mannheim Steamroller when they were in Rapid City.

Donna has also had many employment opportunities but is currently a medical language specialist and works at home. She is grateful for the ability to have a flexible schedule so she can pursue her musical ambitions.
